Intended travel date and duration on DS 160 form for visitor visa

Hi My Parents filled DS160 and got interview date. My mistake they mentioned intended travel date 10th October 2011 instead of 10th November 2011 and they mentioned stay duration 1 month. How can they fix it? Can they mention this typing error to Visa officer? They cannot travel in October if visa is granted. Can they change the date and duration if possible?

Can they stay for more than 1 month if they got visa for 6 months and even if they mentioned 1 month on DS 160 form.

Please advice

1. They can tell the officer at the time of interivew.
2. They can stay until the date stamped on Form I-94 at port of entry.

Intended date of travel

Hello i am trying to get visa apt for my parents, but there is no apt available before intended date of travel i filled in ds160. what shall i do? Second do we really need to travel on intended date.....if i get my visa with intended date as 30 oct....can i travel in feb would that be a prob? thanks in advance
