  • Need urgent help :: Please suggest some convincing reason to get mom's VISA approved

    Hi,

MY Husband is going to apply for visitor visa for my mom. She is a govt employee and will be retiring on November 30, 2011.The actual reason for her arrival is our expectant baby due on December 1. So she wants to be here by 15th of November and planning to apply for 15 days LPR (Without pay Leaves prior to retirement). For this she has to write an application and get it approved from the concerned authority.
As we have heard that VISA gets more easily approved when the reason is tourism rather than pregnancy/delivery.So if she says tourism as the purpose of her visit and consulate asks her to justify the reason for taking 15 days without pay leaves prior to retirement(early retirement) just for the tourism/visiting children, what should be her convincing answer? Or what could be the best way to increase the chances of getting the visa in situation like this?

    Please suggest.....

And also, what should she mention in her leave approval application as well as to the US consulate to get VISA approved?

Anyone is free to take leave from job and go for vacation if they choose to.

There is nothing wrong with that.

I don't see any problem in that.
