Please help!!!!

I have a few questions regarding my nonimmigrant B2 visa.

Firstly I am a female 19 years old, and I want to go to the USA over Christmas for 2 weeks. I will be meeting friends from Australia there to travel to around a few states. The questions I have are.

1. I don't know anyone personally who lives in the USA can I put down my hotel?
2. Where do I find a digital photo? I did one myself, and it looks fine but, the background may be too dark? Will they reject me for this?
3. Will I have a good chance at acceptance?
-I am supporting myself. I have funds from my university loan, bursary, and a huge overdraft in my student bank account.
-All my family and friends lives here in the (UK) so I would not want to stay in the USA. I also am a law student here, and my whole life is here, so I definitely want to return. I am orginally South African, hence why I need a nonimmigrant visa, as I haven't got my British Passport yet.
-I have just came back a few months ago from travelling to Australia for 6 months. So that shows I clearly returned, and I am able to finance myself on holidays. (But my Dad did live there so I had accmomodation)

I am aware the ticket prices are rising and I don't know whether to buy the ticker and chance my luck, or wait until after?

2. You may try going to a nearby photo studio who can provide you good qualify digital photo.
3. It is difficult to say.
4. You should buy the ticket after you get the visa.
