Visitor visa in admin process - sponsor question

Hi,

My father approached consulate & was put in administrative processing and consulate emailed later asking bunch of questionnaire and supporting documents.

Now the issue is we sent all supporting documents including my i-797, which is about to expire. I applied for extension and have only receipt that its in process.

My father case is still in administrative processing and I am not sure- when they come to my father's case they will ask for new i797.

So my question is: if they ask can I just send them new receipt notice or will they only look for approved i-797.

but what if they ask for, will H1 receipt will suffice or they will only be looking for approved i797

i am asking, since i want my parents to visit me before winter/snow starts - i don't want the process to get delayed because of my application. My employer suggested to move h1 process to premium, which i am thinking of - only if they are looking for approved i797.

Just receipt is enough. Approval is not required.
