Mother got Visa Denied

My mother applied for a visitors visa and she was denied stating that my Visa has expired. I came on a F1 visa which is expired but my current ststus is OPT which is valid till december next year. I had sent my EAD card for the proof but the VO didn't look at it. As my mother is not aware of the procedure she didn't say anything. Could someone guide me on this.

Try writing a letter explaining the situation and she can apply again.
