how to select state of resident?

We have filled DS-160 from Chennai based but resided in Andhra Pradesh, and now we need to select VISA appointment from Chennai. But here the problem is when we select "state of resident" is Andhra Pradesh, the slots are showing the center is "HYDERABAD". We need to select "CHENNAI" as we are very close to chnnai city. How do we select CHENNAI as center ?

The system normally shows available slots in all of India. Are you selecting a particular language?
Chennai slots may not be shown because there are no available slots for that language at Chennai. If you select Tamilnadu, does it show Chennai slots?

We are selecting Telugu as a language but after filled the entries and click on button, it is showing HYDERBAD slots only. Yes "kabkaba" you are right if we select a particular language it is showing only HYD, if we select ENglish, then it is showing all over from India.

So I've to wait until slots are available.. or is there any alternate?

because when we are filling DS-160 form we selected INDIA/CHENNAI as embassy from the first page and almost finish this form. So we have to go CHennai only I guess.

Consulate selected in DS 160 does not matter. You can fill another form for Hyd and use that to book the interview for Hyd.
