B2 Visitor visa approved

Hi all,
I want to share my parents experience at Visa interview hyderabad.

I asked my dad to carry all the documents as mentioned in this web site. But i am worried as my dad doesnot have any documents related to businees. He is a shopkeeper. Also worried about my mother. she could not speak as she is nervous talking to others and new people.

VO: Hello Sir.
DAD: good morning.
VO: why are you going?
DAD: tourisam and to visit my son
VO:How along you are going?
DAD: 3 months
VO: What does your son do?
VO: Which visa he is on?
VO: Who else stay with you in india?
VO: What do you do in india
VO: what is your annual income?
VO: Any Properties?

No questions to My mother.

Visa approved. My dad answered confidently and so i think the no documents asked to show.
we spend a lot of time in setting up the papers and explaining them to my parents. I took their interview many times.

B2 Visitor visa approved but....

Hi,
As i mentioned, my parents got B2 visa but then it is for one year only.
Can any one let me know what the reason behind?
