Is Transit Visa needed ?

Dear Folks,

I am travelling to India (from US) via Frankfurt. I have a connecting flight from Frankfurt,Germany and the layover is less than 2hrs.

My question is do I need to have a transit visa, if I am just going back to India ?

Please advise .

That depends upon what your legal status in the U.S., whether your visa stamp is expired and whether you have applied for green card and what status it is in.
