usa tourist visa

greetings!

i need you help..

i am a filipino holding a resident visa here in abu dhabi uae, my contract will expire on may 2012..my relatives wants me visit them(usa, las vegas) before flying back to philippines. i just want to know what will be the best thing for me to do, should i go home and apply for tourist visa there or i will apply here?

Standing recommendation by US embassies around the world is to apply in your home country, as embassy personnel is only trained/familiar with evaluating the situation & particulars of citizens of the country the embassy is located at.

Though if you have been living for a reasonable amount of time in Abu Dhabi, and can articulate the reasons WHY it makes sense to you to travel now and not after you're back in the Phillippines, you may be OK applying @ Abu Dhabi.
