Bar Code on form 156

In the travel.state.gov they have instruction to fill the form DS-156. They say its necessary to have barcode printed on the last page. The barcode that prints on the last page contains the information you entered and will help them process the application more quickly.

In the immhelp filleble form the barcode is not printed on the last page. Is it advisory to use the form, from the travel.state.gov?
