where should i deposit my application fee-visitor visa

Hi,

I want to apply for a visitor visa to US. I am currently studying in college in Pune. However, my home town is in Meerut, UP. I wanted to know where should i deposit my application fee? Should i appear for an interview in delhi or mumbai? I want to get an appointment at the delhi consulate since that will be more convenient for me. But i am not sure if i can do that since i have been residing in pune for past 2 years. Can anyone please provide any advice on this?

If you are residing in Pune for the past 2 years, you should go to Mumbai and the deposit the fee at VFS Pune.

Thank you for your reply. The reason I am worried is that i will be finsihing my education in couple of months and moving back to my home town. I have been residing in pune for studies and it is not really my home. By the time of the interview i will be in my home town so was unsure where to deposit the money

According to recent rule change, Indian Citizens can apply at any US consulate/embassy in India.
