Parents Visitors Visa Rejected for Convocation. Please help!

Hi,

My parents visa got rejected with the reason "Not able to convince visa officer".

My parents own a business and we have provided all bank statements with good bank balance to support for this visit but still the visa was rejected.

One of the questions the visa officer asked was - " What will your son do after masters?" My father answered saying he will pursue further studies and mother said he will work after masters.

We are assuming that this could be the potential reason for the rejection. My parents are planning to go for stamping again and need help with this question.

Please advice on what to answer for this question.

Well, student visa is a non immigranmt visa and you will have to leave USA upon completing your studies otherwise your case or your parents case falls under the catagory of immigrant intent, Sometimes it is also a good idea to apply alone so that one of your parents can act as a home tie. It is better if your mom applies alone. It is unclear where you will persue your further studies or work after doing your masters, is it USA or India. In the end, it is all luck.

Why did they give different answers? Were they together?

Kabkabha- yes, they were together. My mother got panicked and answered on top of my fathers response thinking that the right answer would be to work after masters.

We are planning to reapply for stamping. Any suggestions would be greatly helpful!

What should my parents answer if the VO asks why the visa was rejected the 1st time.
