My mother went for B1 visa interview. She had come to US 4 times. on her second visit to US, she had a visitor visa for 1 year from Gulf US embassy. When she entered, at the port of entry she was given an I-94 valid for a year from her arrival date. She left 8 months after that. As always, I-94 was taken at the port of departure. But there is nothing in her passport that indicates her i-94 date
Now the consular officer says, they issue i-94 only for 6 months and not for a year. According to him, she overstayed. he wants copies of I-94, that indicates that she had not overstayed.
Since the I-94 was valid for a year, we had not applied for extension.
How do I get I-94 copy, that is 3 years old. Also, she has come twice after that and returned within 2 months.
Please help.
