  • Need Help : Parents visa rejected first time

    Hi,

My parents had visa interview at Hyderabad consulate on 11/21/2011. Their visa got rejected. The reason VO told was "They look younger so they have doubt that they might work here in US". My dad is 48 yrs old and mom is 44 yrs old.
I and my husband have GCs. I sponsored the visa as I'm working. My father is a farmer and I have a brother who is in India and working for a software company and he is married a year back(Never visited US). VO didn't look at any documents. The questions asked are
occupation (farmer), annual income(1.8L), number of kids(2), how many months they are going to stay(5), what company I work for ( YYYY X) and how long I have been staying in US(4 yrs).

I want to re-apply the visa for them as I'm expecting in Jun 2012. What different should I do this time to get the visa

Should my husband sponsor the visa?
I mentioned my father's annual income as 1.8L. Is it too less?
How much gap would be ideal for reapplying the visa?
Does VO have access to old DS-160 if I want to change annual income?

    Thank you..

    1. Yes.
    2. Whatever it is what it is.
    3. There is no minimum required. But try after few months.
    4. Yes. Don't do that.
