Rejected Visistor visa

Hi,

My parents visitor visa got rejected on section 214(b).But it was due to an technical mistake in entering the dates incorrectly in the application form. I am aware that we have to reapply.My concerns are:

1) Should we apply it has an new application?
2) Is the application fee refundable or can it be transferred for the new application?
3) How soon can we get the new interview date?Is it going to take very long has right now the new interview dates will be available only in September?

Contact Consular - Visa Section

Hi,
At this stage to try and save time, best would be to contact consular - visa section @ the US Consulate where the visa was rejected.
There are a couple of special phone numbers for this purpose, see if you can find them. Best way to contact is phone or fax. Letters would take more time to solicitate a response.
If this fails and you're in the US, contact your local senator's office. They are usually very helpful. Fax them full, I mean complete details including passport numbers and names.
