hello!
I am from pak and my brother is a US citizen. Furthermore, both my parents are US permenent residents. I applied for US visa 8 months back to go to a conference and was denied based on the law that said 'I was not able to show sufficient connection to home country, or was ineligible for the visa category'. My friend applied for the same conference and got the visa, so am thinking I too was eligible for the visa.
I wish to know that if i apply again two years from now for USMLE CS, would the same reasons once again would hold true and debar me from getting the visa? If chances are really low I wouldnt invest my next 1 year or so studying for USMLE step 1 and 2CK.
thanks
