  • Need help to reapply visa for mother-in-law

My widow mother-in-law's visa got rejected for the first time. She has enough financial support and ties in India but VO did not ask anything about it.
I sent sponsorship documents for her.
Questions asked at the time of interview:
    1. Why do you want to visit US
Ans : To meet my daughter and son-in-law and see USA tourist places.

    2. On which Visa your son-in-law and dauther is
    Ans: xxxxxxxx

    3. Where will you stay in USA.
Ans : told my home address.

    4. Who is going to sponsor your trip
    Ans: Son-in-law

VO said sorry we can not give you visa.
I did not understand why her Visa got rejected.
Only thing is 1 week before her interview my parents went for tourist visa and they got the visa.

Is there any problem that I have sponsored them all at the same time?
    My mother-in-law got 214b form.

We want to reapply now but what changes I need to do? Will self sponsoring help her?
How much time should I wait before reapplying?
    Please guide.

As long as the person can show that he has enough money to financially take care of everyone's U.S. visit, it does not matter how many people he sponsors.

I am planning to reapply my mother-in-laws tourist visa again.

      Need advice on below questions:
      1. Should I sponsor her trip this time or self sponsoring will help?
Her financial support is good in India. However she is never worked and now also she is homemaker.

      2. How useful Will be the senators letter?

      3. Last time her duration of stay we said 5 months. This time I am planning to show it for short duration like 6 weeks or so. Will this help somewhat?

      4. In DS-160 form she was mentioned as 'Homemaker' however she gets pension after my dad so can I mention that while filling the DS-160 form.

let me know any other tip for widow mother's visa success.
