Visitor Visa for my Parents

Hi,
My Current L1 visa expires on Jan 11 , 2012. My employer has applied COS L1 to H1 for me which is in progress. I am yet to get the decision. Now i need to apply Visitor visa for my parents.
i am planning to schedule the Visa appearence by next week or next next week.
Since my L1 is going to expire soon and My Husband 's visa expires on Nov 2013, is it advisable for me to sponser my parents visa ? please give me some suggestion

As long as you are in the legal status (which you are), you can sponsor them.

father name different in my Passport and his passport

Hi,
my Fathers name is SUBB in his passport and it is SUBBAN in my passport. will this create an issue when he goes for VIsitor Visa appearence. If yes what should be done to handle this ?
