  • Visitor Visa - # of person limit

I am planning to sponsor visitor visa for my parents, younger brother and older sister and her husband (total 5 person).

I understand that I need to fill out one I-134 (Affidavit of Support) for each of them. However, question # 3 only allows additional space to enter spouse and two children. In my case, that would be my father + mom, brother, sister. What should I do for my brother in law?

    Also,

Is there any limit on number of people who can apply for the visitor visa at the same time? Does large number increase the potential risk of rejection?

If I am sponsoring five people, what is the ballpark amount I need to show in my bank account?

Please share if you have similar experience. Thanks in advance.

Family = Husband + wife + minor children under 18.

Therefore, while filing I-134 form, mention other people as per the above rule.

There is no limit regarding how many people you can sponsor at any given time, as long as you have the money to sponsor all of them. There is no ball park figure but something $5,000/person would be good.

Thanks for the information. Can you please clarify a little bit on the quoted text? I am providing some more information which may be able to help you out.

      Father - Age 60
      Mother - Age 57
Adult #1 (son of Father) - Age 21
Adult #2 (daughter of Father) - Age 31
      Brother-in-law - Age 31 (married to adult#2)

Based on what you mentioned, can you confirm if the following answers for I-134 question#3 look correct?

Form 1: I-134 - Father (Primary) + Mother (Accompanying Spouse)
Form 2: I-134 - Mother (Primary) + Father (Accompanying Spouse)
      Form 3: I-134 - Adult#1 (Primary)
      Form 4: I-134 - Adult#2 (Primary) + Brother-in-law (Accompanying Spouse)
      Form 5: I-134 - Brother-in-law (Primary) + Adult#2 (Accompanying Spouse)

      Thanks.
