Hi all
I had my B2 visa interview at delhi embassy on 30th Dec, 2011.
I had to wait for 2 hours. it seems visitos have the lowest priority as F category/immigrant visa applicants were called first.
My interview lasted only 2minutes
questions asked:
Q1- why you want to travel
A- Tourism
Q2- where you are planning to go
A- SFO/Vegas
Q3- Who else in travelling
A- My husband is already going on B1 visa for meeting so I will be joining him later in his visit
Q4- do you have his visa/passport copy
A- gave my husband's passport copy and his company's invitation letter
Q5- your husband is a regular visitor. he has gone 3-4 times. why you never accompanied him earlier
A- he went before marriage most of the times. Once he went after marriage but I din not have leave then. Now i can manage leave, so we planned to go.
Q6- what is your work profile
A- told about my work profile
Q7- Why is your husband going for 1 month
A- he has many business meetings
Q8- where does he work? who all are his clients?
A- told about his company his profile. tols that i don know abt his clients
Q9- Do you have kids?
A- No
VO- my colleague would like to talk to you at counter 30. please go there
I went to counter 30, wiated there for 2 mins. A lady came and handed over a pink document with a case number and told me that my application would take 3-4 weeks for processing under section 221(g) of immigration act
I asked what does this mean. She said I have to wait for my passport for 3-4 weeks and gave me a URL where I can track the status and it does not mean that your visa is given or rejected
Today (Jan 4th, 2012) i got my passport with a B2 visa for 10 years
Note- for me, the status never showed any change. it just said your application is under process and till now its under process
In some cases they ask for documents under section 221(g), but they told me not to send any documents
