Hi there
I'm currently in the U.S. on my H1B visa. I came here in 2007 to go to grad school, finished grad school and have been working for 18 months now (On H1B status for almost a year).
I'm about to apply for a B2 visa for my mom as it's been 4 yrs since I saw my mom. She tried twice earlier in 2010 but her application got rejected twice, the reason being that I was on OPT at that time and she didn't have any sponsor documents.
This time, I've done my homework and have all my documents ready to go. My dad already has a 10 year B1 visa for religious purposes and has visited the U.S. twice.
Now while applying for my Mom's visa, in my I-134, would it be better to mention that she will be traveling along with my dad? Or would it be better to not have anyone accompanying her on her visit here? Also, I was planning on visiting India next month for a couple of weeks and have her interview while I'm there (moral support and also, I can coach her for the interview). But I realized that while I'm there, my I-94 is invalid and this might create problems. So it's advisable, or infact mandatory, that I stay in the US while she attends her visa interview. Can someone confirm/deny this?
Thanks
P
