US Tourist Visa query - serious doubt

Hi,

My parents have applied for a Visa to visit my sister and my brother in law in the USA. My father has retired from a govt job and is now working as an Emeritus Scientist with one of the organisations here. However, when he had filled up the visa appointment form(TT services), he mentioned himself as a Retired Scientist..now all of us are thinking whether this can create any problem during the interview beause of the following reasons:

1. since he is retired he might face a problem in convincing the interviewers that he has reasons to come back.

2. when he would fill up some other form..should he still mention some other desgination(may be only scientist!!) or he should go on with the same thing which he has filled up in the visa appointment form?

Pls advice..since all of us are in a fix right now..I am looking forward to all the help which we can get..

If he has retired, put retired. Else, don't.

If there is time of few days before interview then yoyu can contact TTS to change info you have submitted for visa appointment.

Read one one the posts by someone in last week about deatils of procedure.
