Spelling mistakes in parents name in passport

Hi,

I am planning to call my parents on B2. Here are few questions i have while processing B2 documents for them:

1) Spelling of parents names in my passport are not exactly same as in their passport. There are few spelling mistakes. what should I do, pls guide?

2) There are spelling mistakes in both my parents passport in the Spouse names column.

Can anyone help me here and will this be verified during visa interview?
I can send them documents with the names they have in their passports but is that sufficient?

First, you need to determine what the correct legal names of each person is. Once you decide, you need to get them fixed in appropriate documents.

Spelling mistakes in parents name in passport

Printed names in passports are correct as per their ID proofs and in ID proof there was some mistake. This was not noticed at the time of applying for passport.

So, during visa interview will they cross check names appearing in both the passports?

I can send all the documents and print the exact names appearing in their passports, will this be sufficient?

if they have to show the correction in names, other than passport what options are available?
Like notary etc..
