Visa & Actual visit

we were granted 10-yr visitor visa in .april 2011 only my younger daughter was able to go to the us then, as my parents-in-law were ill now, my husband is planning to visit our elder daughter who is working there. is there a time period before which we should undertake journey after grant of visa?? what is the procedure we should adopt now for his travel & should i too plan a visit soon?

No time restriction. You can visit anytime as long as the visa is valid.
I first used my 10 yr visitor visa 4 years after it was issued.

So, relax.
