Mumbai consulate birth certificate visitor's visa

Hi,

I need some information on getting Visitor's visa. I'm in USA on H1-B visa. My Brother is also in USA on H1-B visa. I would like to invite my parents on Visitor's visa. I'm sponsoring his visa.

Do I need My Original birth certificate as well as my brother's Original
Birth Certificate with Application form? My brother does not have Birth ceritificate, but he does have School Leaving certificate. will that work?
