Revisiting US on visitors Visa

Hi. My parents got 10 years visitors Visa and they visited me in the year 2010. Now my father is planning to visit us again. Can anyone answer my questions -
1. What documents are required at the Port of Immigration?
2. What should be written in the invitation letter to the Immigration Officer?

If he did not apply for an extension , did not overstay and returned his I-94 to the airline in 2010, he won't need any documents. But he should keep your address and phone no. handy just in case they ask him.
