Change of Name B1/B2 visa

Hi Fellows,

My mother has a B1/B2 visa. In her visa, her given name is FNU and Surname if her full name.

She would like to add surname on her passport and if that happens she will get a new passport.

My question is, how will this affect her existing visa and can she travel to US with that visa?

Will she face problems at the POE?

Will she have to apply for a new visa or can she get this visa corrected?

She can not get the visa corrected/changed. She will have to apply for new visa all over again.

Alternatively, she can carry both passport and proof of legal name change.
