  • I-134 question # 7, item for stocks & bonds - Urgent!!

    Hi Immihelp,

I've a question about the stocks & bonds item in # 7 on the I-134 form. I was offered some stock options when I joined my company as a full time employee in 2001 and later enrolled in ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan) and have some % of deductions in my pay stub. I've not sold any stocks options so far and I keep getting some statements from from our company stock broker (Smith Barney). I'm not sure what to write in this column and provide statements to support it If I don't write anything here ($0.00), but have ESPP deductions on my pay stub, will there be any issues when my in-laws for VISA interview ? I've called the brokerage firm's customer support, but he has no clue what I'm asking him, though I told him clearly what I'm looking for
Appreciate if the experts can answer this for me ASAP.

    Thanks!

It's OK not to write anything regarding stocks/bonds.

If you want to write, write the amount of money in vested options/bonds, the amount that you can actually sell right now. And show the proof for the same.

      Thanks!

      Hello Immihelp,

Thanks very much for the quick reply! I'm still confused whether to mention anything in here or just $0.00. I did log into the stock broker's website and checked my account that shows how many stocks I've that I can excersise and the equivalent money based on the current stock price, but I don't think I can get a statement from my brokerage firm for this in the next 2 days to so send my documents these weekend. The customer support sucks so much that they tell me to print it out from the website as proof of the statement and I don't think this is a good idea. If I were to write $0.00 in the form, though I've some stock options, but not sure of how many and the money, will there be any issue for my in-laws during the interview ? I don't want to write something here and not be able to provide documents to support it .

      Pls advice........
