Canadian visitors visa question- Urgent... Pl. Advise !

When my parents applied for Canadian visitors visa they said that they will stay only for one month and applied for single entry visa.They got single entry visa for 6 months.

Is it ok to buy an open ticket to Canada ie the return will have to be in six months but we are not able to decide exact date of their return.

Does anyone know whether coming to Canada on visitors visa with open ticket can caz any problem at airport of entry?

It can potentially be a problem as they can say that if you don't have return ticket, you may not be planning to return at all.

It is quite subjective and difficult to say for sure.
