  • I owe Canada Big Time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi All,

    Just to share my experiences...

My parents were rejected twice for visitors visa by USA Consulate, first in april 2005 and again in May 2005 inspite of all possible documents we could possibly prepare to convince US consulate that our parents have no intention what so ever of settling in US and that they were only travelling to visit my brother and for tourism!! They were not convinced!

Anyways...We were advised by many consultants in India that if US embassy refuses visitors visa then Canadian embassy is sure to reject you too.And we had two visa rejections !! That made our case even more tough.

There was only one sane consultant who said no,its not true.

We applied for Canadian visitors visa and fortunately my parents got six months visitors visa.

I owe big time to Canada and the officials who handled my parents application. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks for not considering why US has refused visitors visa twice caz there was simply no logic to their refusal. My dad is retired and the response of the US Visa officer was that you dont have money to travel.I thought that answer was outrageous! Caz it is not true and she said that without seeing the documents my parents had prepared certified by banks and chartered accountants.

The importance of their visit... I am landing in Canada as permanent immigrant on 5th June and I wanted my parents to accompany me,meet my husband and my parents in Law and attend my wedding reception.

The reason we tried for US Visitors visa...so my parents could visit my brother in USA at the same time they were planning trip to Canada..But USA visa officials are all too strict and what not....They refused, not once but twice. My dad is 60 plus.He went thru so much for the interviews with US visa officers,it was painful for me to see.
On the other hand, the Canadian visa application was handled by VFS therefore it saved my parents a lot of trouble and anxiety.

Anyways, I am glad I chose Canada as my new home over USA!!

My experience... I love Canada. It has a bigger heart! And I owe Canada big time.

    Jas

I am immigrating under spouse sponsorship.

My husband sent the sponsorship papers for my parents.

For USA,my brother had sent all sponsorship papers, with no luck..
