B1/B2 Visa Status after H1B Visa

Hi. I got B1 Visa before H1B Visa for 10Yrs. During my H1B interview, the VO asked do u still need B1 after H1B. I told no. I got my H1B but I am not sure whether he canceled my B1.

My question's:

1. Is VO authorized to cancel any valid Visa’s without a written request by the visa holder?
2. How do I know the status of my B1 Visa?

2. If it was scratched out, it was definitely cancelled. If not, ask them.
