Indian citizen in UK

I am an Indian citizen , on a dependent student visa in the UK (my husband is studying here) and i have a part-time job.
I would like to visit my sister in the US fora few weeks.
Do i need to go back to India to apply for a B-2 visitor visa?

No , you can apply in UK.
If you will succeed will depend on ;
*how long have you been in UK,
*what is the visa status of your sister,
*your and your husband's source of income ( since he is a student and you are a part timer)
*and your long term plans after your husband finishes studies. ( it will help if you will say you will return to India)
