Hi,
I have been reading this forum since a couple of days. I highly appreciate the help and guidance provided.
Here is my scene,
I am on F-1 visa but currently on CPT working with a MNC in US and I am graduating in May 2012. I want to call my parents(not sister) for Grad Walk. My father is retired, my mother is a house wife. My sister is studying Bachelors of Architecture in India. She still has 2 yrs of coursework pending.
The problem is my father does not have adequate bank balance in India( probably somewhere around 1 lakh Rs only). He has other FD's and bonds, house and other good property investments.
Since I am working on my CPT I have around $5000 to $6000 in my bank balance neatly reflected as my salary.
Is it a good idea to sponsor my parents while I am still on F-1?
Or should I just transfer the money in my account to my father's account so that he can show the balance. ( I am worried this might make the VO suspicious about the origin of money suddenly deposited into his account)
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jalpa
