Please help me - how do i get US visa

Hi,

My sister were settled in US with her husband and both are having green card and working there
at colorado airport.

my dream is US and i want to go there after i will search some job with my sister help. hence is any possiblity are there to help my sister for my visa? please reply with your suggestion.

Options;

1.Your sister can sponsor you for an immigrant visa only after she becomes a citizen.
And that visa will take many years. it is not a good option.

2.You can go to US on a student visa for Post graduate studies after taking GRE. Or some courses do not require GRE , only TOEFL. But that will require money.

3. Your sister can look for an H-1 visa job for you or you can apply on the internet.
That is the best option for you.

4. You being young and single, a tourist visa will be difficult for youto get. EVen if you get it,
it won't be much use because you cannot work on a tourist visa and on a 6 month stay,
it won't be easy for you to find a job .

5. Apply for a canadian immigrant visa/work visa if you qualify. It is easier to ger a visitor visa/ to find work in US if you are in canada.

The rules for entering/staying and working have been drastically changed and been made more stringent specially for Indians, your only chance of fulfillijng your dream of working in the usa is to enroll in some higher degree course once compleated, you will have a chance to look for work which very frankly is quiet difficult in current circumstances & given you do not have a specialized science degree, Even if you manage to get a job & shift status to a h1b you have to remember that it can ba a 5+ year wait with a clean record on US laws before you become eligible to apply for a Green card, Once you have applied for a green card it can be another 5-7 year wait holding a job in the Us and with a clean record,

you have to remember that THERE ARE OVER 2 MILLION + GREEN CARD APPLICATIONS PENDING WITH INS

Given current economic realities in the US you would be better advised to divert this kind of dedication in your home state which could bring you a better result than starting from 0 in the US

chance of getting b1/b2 visa

I have a valid US B1/B2 visa which will expire in April. I am planning to re-apply now. I am 20yr old.
IS there any advantage of applying for the visa when ur existing visa is valid??..or the United States avoids giving visas to the people of my age these days??....pls do let me know!!

It does not matter if you apply before April or after, and There is nothing like not giving visitor visas to 20 yr olds,
All depends on your purpose of visit and your strong ties to India. For example, in your case;
if you belong to a wealthy family and you are enrolled in a serious student course in INdia,
you are going to US on a 1 month vacation to visit your relative in US, you stand a good chance.
