B2 Visa for a minor child

Hi All,

I need to apply for a B2 Visa for my minor son who is 3.5yrs old, Both me and my husband have valid B1/B2 visas, can we apply for a visa for our son without having to attend the interview at the consulate, is interview mandatory for a minor child.

Yes, interview is required. If both parents cannot go with the baby , one parent with a no objection letter from the other can go.
