Hi,
My mother's old 10 year US Visa is expiring this year. I need to renew her visa (tourist)
Looks like things that changed now, and one needs to fill in DS-160 online.
I have some specific queries, as my mother was told by some external visa agent dhe needed documents that DS-160 does not seem to need.
a) Can I fill in DS-160 on behalf of my mother (I stay in the US, and am a citizen). If I do that, do I need to send her a copy of the form too?
b) If I fill it on her behalf, do I have to write in that form that a 3rd party created it for her?
c) My mother was told that to get a new Visa, she needs invite letters from my company etc (which made no sense to me). US Consulate web site for Kolkata makes no such claims. Can you confirm what documentation is needed when she is actually called for the interview?
d) Are the new tourist visas also for 10 years?
