visa interview in different city

hello all,
need a real urgent help of i will miss the date of my exam!!


i wanted to know that can i apply for visa interview from a different zone if my passport is issued from a different zone???


like my passport is issued from assam ,which falls under kokkatta,but i have been satying in new delhi (preparing for exam,so unemployd)for the past 6 months....so can i apply for interview in new delhi..if so do i ahve to produce any documents?? if so what documents...!!!

i am staying in my relatives place here,will a letter from them saying i have beeen staying with them in theri own house suffice???
