Hello,
I am in USA on H1B work visa.My parents applied for visitor visa in Jan 2012 and was rejected. They are in the age group of 65-70 years. They are retired, they use to run a small scale business which was shut down many years back. Now my parents live in a house that is owned by my brother. All my siblings and our relatives are in India. At there visa interview, they carried an invitation letter sent by me and they told the officer that they will be staying in US for about 2-3 months. The officer did not ask them anything else and rejected the visa.I know the mistake was about saying the stay period of 2-3 months. What changes can we do or how can we improve so that there Visa does not get rejected next time. Also how sooner should they re apply for the visa?
thanking you
Aditi
