  • Visitor Visa rejected advice for reapply

    Hello there,

My parents in law's interview was on dated 20th March.
they got rejected. VO asked following question to father in law.

    Why are you going?
father: To Visit US and to Meet dauther/son in law.

    What are you doing:
    father: I am retired.

What were you doing before u retired.
Father : before retired i was running a small tobacco business.

What is your daughter doing there?/
Father: She is working in pharmacy company from last 4 years.

VO gave them 214b form and said sorry !!

I could not understand what was the wrong.

Now i am thinking to reapply

Could anyone suggest/advice me in how many days i can reapply for them??

    Thank you everyone. !!!!

Most likely retired status is the reason for denial . Also, his business was small prior to retirement.
Do they have any children living in India. If not, that is another negative factor.

You can re apply after 3 business days .

Actually visitor visa outcome is very unpredictable.

You can't change retirement status in a short period.

If they have a documented family income of about 1L or large retirement savings like 20L +,
this time they can say they are spending their own money .

Even my parents in law's visa was rejected. So is it better for parents in law to self sponsor his visa if he has savings/income or is it better that I send affidavit of support and say that I am sponsoring their visit? Please advise. Thanks.
