  • Summer Camp : Visitor Visa : Under 18 : Rejected

    Hi All,

    My cousin as enrolled into USA basketball summer camp starting on Apr 15 . He is national level basketball player in INDIA. VO took his interview like 20 to 30 min and looks satisfied with my cousin answers but at the end She said that you are not eligible for this time sorry . you try next time .

    Question : is It good idea to re apply again because his camp is starting from April 15 ?

    Please need your input soon.

    Thanks,

        Actually, the fact that you are there in US and you helped him get admission was the reason for denial. They think he will settle down in US with your help.

        Reapplying will not change the fact that you are in US and will help him.

        But if he can stress on strong family, vocation, money ties to India, he may succeed.

        Please post;

        *his education and future career plans?
        *Is he attending any basketball academy in India?
        *his family background; what do his parents do , their income and financial status roughly.
        *any siblings?
        * any parental property in India?

            Looking at your answers,
            there is nothing new we can stress on about strong ties to India, in the next interview.
            The VO seemed to grasp well about his ties and there is nothing really that will compel your cousin to return.

            I thought about showing letters from his basketball coaches/ or academy bosses in India about his strong prospects in India, but VO may or may not buy that.
            Basketball is more lucrative in US.
