Hi,

Is there a restriction enforced on date of entry to USA based on the visitor visa issue date?

scenario 1:
Visa issue date: May 2005.
Visa Duration: 10 years, Multiple Entry
Can the date of entry to USA (first visit) be Feb 2006?
Is there a restriction like - need to make the first travel within 6 months of the visa issue date?

scenario 2:
Visa issue date: May 2005
Visa Duration: 1 year, Single Entry
Can the date of entry to USA (first visit) be October 2005?

Yes to both scenarios (no restriction...as long as the person enters USA before the visa expires). The visa duration indicates the validity to travel to the USA. Mutiple entry represents, the person can enter US more than once before the visa expires. The duration of stay will be authorized at the port of entry.
