My mother is planning to visit me here at US on a visitor's visa. She had visited me twice earlier - the last time was approx 8 years back. At that time, she initially got a 6 month I-94, and then she applied for a visa extension for another 6 months. Her extension was approved, and she left US before the extension expired - i.e. everything was legal.
In those days they didn't give out 10 year multiple entry visa, as seems to be the norm these days - so she will be appearing for a visa interview shortly at the Kolkata embassy. Considering her previous visit involved a visa extension - can members , whose parents have been in similar situation, please share with me what kind of questions she may face at the interview, or documents she may be expected to produce at the interview? We do have copies of the previous visa extension approval notice.
Regards,
Ashish
