next visit time after a visitor visa extension

Hi,
Given that one can only stay for 6 months (which can be extended to another 6 months) on a visitor visa, when is the next time one can visit again after a 6-month extension ?
Example: My mother is coming to US on 8/1/05. I will try to extend her visa by another 6 months to 7/31/06. When is the next time she can visit US after going back to India by 7/31/06 ?

She can visit again at any time, but if the immigration officer at the port of entry feels that she is trying to spend most of her time in US, she may be denied entry altogether.

I know this is a old post but what would be the scenario in the current year ..how long should a gap be six month visa + 3 month extension stay in USA
And then reentering usa after 7 -8 month stay in India

i actually spent 6 month + 6 month extension last year. i went to my country for 1.5 months and reentered without any issues and got 6 months

i stayed from 09/03/15 for six months to march 03/2016 exxtended to august 2016. i stayed 1.5 months in my country and returned again.i had no issues entering and was given a 6 mnths stay.
