  • Indian Visitor Visa v OCI

    Hello,

I went online and filled out a Family OCI form, but later realized I am the only one that has his Indian Visa expired.
How can I change the application from Family to Individual?
In assessing the fee structure, it was showing that that are charging a $250 penalty, without any explanation.
I imagine it is due to the above reason?
Any help shall be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Many thanks,
--> I did not see a special process for either adding or deleting applicants from the family application. Once filled in the online system generates application ID but I think you can choose to NOT send in that application. And then fill a fresh one.

--> No personal experience with an expired Indian Visa but this should not have any bearing on applying for OCI card.

--> The additional fee is possibly 'renunciation fee'. Based on when you have obtained your US citizenship AND if your passport DOES NOT contain cancellation stamp the fee is automatically calculated.
