Open return ticket while visiting US & POE questions

Does anybody reading this post has an actual experience about someone coming to US on visitors visa with an open return ticket (ie return date on ticket is open). If so, can you post your specific experience at POE e.g. did the immigration officer asked about it, what was the answer, did this create any problem for them, etc.

Please share your experience.

Hello manishc,

I have made 2 trips to the US as a visitor, once on an open ticket.
I was never asked any qs about my ticket.

I cannot think of any reason why an inspector at POE would
be concerned about your ticket?

Can you explain your concern in detail so I can make some suggestions?
