  • Visitor visa - notarize? prior submission of documents?

    Hi,

I am sponsoring my in-laws for a tourist visa. They will be going to Hyderabad consulate. I have two questions here.

    1) Do I need to notarize any of the documents that I send?

    2) Do we need to submit all the documents to VFS, 3 days prior to the interview?

Can any one please answer these asap? I need to send the documents as I already took the appointment.

    Thanks in advance,
    Siddu

    There is no need.

AFAIK nothing needs to be submitted for B Visa. But in-laws can call up VFS and ask. You can also check VFS and Consulate websites.
Also, 'sponsor' documents are never 'required', because having a sponsor itself is not required. If somebody else is paying for your trip, you may be asked for proof of availability of funds or if you are vising a person in the US you may be asked for that person's legal status in the US. This is something you need to provide only if asked for during the interview.

    See above.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
