Does Birth Certificate required for visitor visa?

Hi,

I am in process of getting visitor visa (USA) for my parents. Does my Birth Certificate required for this ? Can we provide my other documents like Passport copy or Leaving Certificate or Nationality certificate ?
Please guide.

VFS guideline does mention it, but it is very highly unlikely that they will be asked for it.
