Is it hard for a 17 year old French boy to get a B2 visa ?

How does he prove that he will go back to France ?

Is it easy to get a visa in France ?

You do not need a visa if your visit is for less than 90 days.

You only need a B2 visa if you wish to stay for more than 90 days.
And you will need to show a very good reason why your visit needs
to be more than 90 days.

He would be traveling alone his parents would be funding for the trip . he wants to come to america to visit his host family for 6 months and stay for the holidays and sight see .

2. How can he get 6 months off from school in france?
