  • Hello..need advice

Hello every one,my husband is a US citizen with a decent job, n i am on a green card, not doing any job at the moment,i wanna call my parents from India to USA,my husband will be sponsoring them.My question is, do my parents need to give my husbands name in DS-160 as he is sponsoring them or should they give my name as they are coming to their daughter? and should I send them the invitation letter or my husband ?? and what should my parents answer if the visa officer asks what their daughter is doing?

    Plz respond

    Thanx in advance.

If your husband is sending them sponsorship papers , you do not need to send any formal
invitation. Just send your passport copy and your GC copy .
When asked at the interview about the purpose, they can say they are visiting their daughter and son-in-lw
    and their son-in-lw is sponsoring.
They should answer truthfully about your being a housewife.

The decisions are usually made on the applicant's verbal answers.
Mainly on their ties to India. ( job, income, financial status if retired, other children in India)

These documents have a very secondary value.

You may be referring to form DS-160. If so, it would be one form for each applicant. In the form there would be a section where it would ask 'Persons travelling with you'. You will need to fill in the appropriate information. The password is most probably the applicant's mother's name.
