  • Finance question

My parents appeared for visa twice at Mumbai. First time they were self sponsors and second time I was the sponsor (H1b since 1 year). Both times, they didn't ask for any documents nor any question related to finance.

My parents are gov retired and getting good pension. In DS-160, I choose "retired" as their primary occupation.

    Can I write:
    Where you previously employed? YES
Briefly describe your duties: XYZ duties and current annual income/pension - Rs xxxxx?

Please advice, as they don't ask any question related to finance after hearing "retired".

You cannot change their primary status.
And don't think if they ask about pension amount , they will get the visa.
There can be other reasons mainly being absence of family ties in India and that combined with retired status results in a denial.

You will be just wasting their time, money and inviting dejection, letting them apply blindly repeatedly without any real change in their situation.
